The Waste Land (1)

Publication Date: August 24th, 2016

Chapter: The Twentieth Century

The Waste Land is miserable. By which I mean, it is steeped in misery. It opens by telling us that April is the cruellest month, which basically sums up the entire mood. Also, roughly 60% of the poem is just footnotes, so thanks for that, Eliot.

Author: T. S. Eliot • Year: 1922 • Info: Wikipedia
