The Garden of Proserpine (1)

Publication Date: February 26, 2016

Chapter: The Victorian Age

Yes, that's Lit Brick Hades. He's kind of a dork, but he rules the Underworld, so maybe you could show him a little respect, alright?

Proserpine (aka Persephone in the Greek pantheon, which - to be honest - is a name I'd rather be using just because it's easier to say) is the Queen of the Underworld. She was kidnapped by Hades, making their marriage iffy at best. Somewhere in that underground world of the damned, she's apparently managed to bang out a garden. I guess if I was Queen of the Underworld, I'd need a hobby too.

Author: Algernon Charles Swinburne • Year: 1866 • Info: Bartleby
