Paradise Lost (5)

Publication Date: September 2, 2011

Chapter: English Literature in the Early Seventeenth Century

It's a little more complicated than this in the book. Satan only manages to con Sin into opening the door by promising to conquer the Earth so that she and her little bundle of joy will have a nicer place to live. It's hard to tell if plans on keeping this promise or not, 'cause y'know he "does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and the father of lies." (John 8:44)

That's right, people. Your humble agnostic author can bust out the Bible when it pleases him to do so. Suck it.
