Chapter: English Literature in the Sixteenth Century

Alright, so it's starting to get hard to make these strips look interesting. Which is to say, I kind of gave up. Basically, there are just entire scenes of Faustus and his new best friend talking about stuff. Now, the stuff they talk about is all ripe material for the comic, but there's just no variety in the setting. As such, this week may look a bit samey after a while. If nothing else, I hope the dialog makes up for it.

In any event, the first thing Faustus wishes of his sinister new pal is to understand the nature of hell. I mean, seriously? You sell your soul for ultimate power over the mortal realm and that's your first wish? Tell me about hell? Look, I'll put it out on front street: if Mephistophilis asks me what I want, I wouldn't even have to pause before saying, "I wanna get laid." Knowledge? Screw that. It's all about rolling between the sheets.

Maybe Faustus is a robot. Or a eunuch. Or a robot eunuch.
